Fire Damage Repair & Restoration – After the fire

This was the second fire that this house has experienced in its history. This time it was necessary to remove the existing roof and start from scratch. Ridge was gone, rafters pretty well burned through – there was no saving it.

Originally, the entire second floor was a wide open space. Multiple owners have done numerous renovations, including walling off the space into separate rooms. Note the difference in lath between exterior walls and interior. The original chair railing has been removed.

Wall framing was so poorly done that is was more practical to start from scratch.
