The old attic was dark and poorly lit. The floor was very uneven, and the railing around the stairwell not very safe. It's now a much cleaner, better lit space for the storage of personal belongings.

The rooms once again have chair railing installed. All the baseboards are of uniform height and style. Crown molding has been added around the ceilings, as well as textured plaster. The house now has inter-connected smoke detectors as required. The single door to this room was enlarged to facilitate the installation of French doors.
